Best Time for Gravel Cycling in Morocco
Morocco is rideable most of the year, but the right window depends entirely on where you’re riding. Here’s how to choose.
Spring (March–May)
The best all-round season. The High Atlas is clear of snow, the desert is not yet hot, and the country is green from winter rain. Our busiest months.
Autumn (September–November)
Equal to spring for the High Atlas and Sahara. Cooler nights, stable weather, and the light is exceptional. Book early.
Summer (June–August)
Too hot for the desert and the lower valleys. The High Atlas above 2,000 m is still rideable in the early morning. We shift trips to the coast and the high country.
Winter (December–February)
Snow closes the high passes. The desert, Anti-Atlas and Atlantic coast are at their best — mild days, cold nights.
