Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Essaouira → Sidi Kaouki → argan country — Cliff-top gravel then inland through argan forest.
  2. Day 2: Argan country → Marrakech — Roll across the Haouz to Marrakech.
  3. Day 3: Marrakech → Tizi n’Tichka → Telouet — Cross the pass and descend the caravan piste.
  4. Day 4: Telouet → Ounila → Ait Benhaddou — Ride the ochre piste to the UNESCO ksar.
  5. Day 5: Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Agdz — Roll to Ouarzazate and descend to the Draa at Agdz.
  6. Day 6: Agdz → Draa oasis — Ride the palm groves down the Draa.
  7. Day 7: Draa oasis → Zagora — Continue the caravan route to Zagora.
  8. Day 8: Zagora → desert village — Ride out onto the stone desert plateau to a desert riad.
