A loop from Amezmiz through the orchards and lower slopes south-west of Marrakech. Quieter than the Ourika corridor, with firm gravel, a couple of foothill climbs and a long descent back to town. Amezmiz is one of our favourite low-key bases.

The main season runs September to May. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are ideal for the Atlas and Sahara. Winter suits the desert, Anti-Atlas and coast; summer is too hot for the lowlands but works for high-altitude Atlas routes.
