A day tour is the best way to try Moroccan gravel without committing to a multi-day trip. We run 26 day rides from Marrakech, the Atlas, the Anti-Atlas, the desert and the coast. Here is how to choose the right one, by region and difficulty.
A day tour lets you test the surface, the heat, the climbing and the bike before you commit to a multi-day trip. It is also the right format if you are in Morocco for other reasons and want a single great ride. All our day tours include a local guide, support, water and snacks; you can rent a bike or bring your own. See best gravel day trips from Marrakech.
The best first day. Rolling foothill pistes above Amizmiz and Tahanaout, 30–50 km, modest climbing, and back to Marrakech for the evening. Try the Marrakech–Takerkoust–Amizmiz day or the Tahanaout loop.
Real climbing and the country Morocco is famous for. The Ouirgane valley ride, the Ourika valley gravel, and the Ounila valley gravel — 40–70 km with 600–1,200 m of climbing.
Warmer, lower, and at their best in winter. The Dades valley gravel, the Todra canyon ride, the Draa valley gravel, and the Sahara edge ride.
Cliff-top pistes and argan forest. The Essaouira coastal gravel and the Agadir coastal ride — flat to rolling, wind-shaped, a brilliant finish to a point-to-point trip.
A local guide who knows the route and the water stops; vehicle support on the bigger days; water and snacks; and a bike if you rent one. You bring your riding kit and a sense of adventure. Read how to plan your first Morocco gravel trip and Morocco gravel for beginners.
